Extension management

'System extensions' refers to all of the extension, control panels, fonts, etc. that are located in your Mac's System Folder. Extension conflicts, when two or more extensions interfere with what the other is trying to accomplish, are the primary source of problems encountered when using Signalyze or other software.

Below is a quick summary of options for managing extensions, as well as links to more information. (More information on screen savers and fonts is also available.)

You may also want to download a copy of List Open Files from Alsoft (in the Ask Al section); it will tell you exactly what is being run when you start up your Mac.
